<<< back LTU’s Excursion To The South Coast… [01 Mar 2004] On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (24th–26th Feb) members and officials of LTU met Lloyds TSB customers outside their North Street, Brighton and other town centre branches. In Brighton the Bank has a number of operations (Moore House, Queens Road Quadrant, Quest House, Sussex House, Victory House and Elder Place) where over 1,800 staff deal with ‘back office’ processing and customer enquiries. LTU believes these jobs are potentially at risk from the Bank’s plans and during the 3 days we received outstanding support in our campaign to halt the export of Lloyds TSB jobs to India. Approximately 1000 customers added their names to LTU’s petition over the 3 days pushing us ever closer to our target of 500,000. Nick Holt and Peter O’Grady were in front of a microphone once again to provide interviews for Southern FM, Juice FM, BBC Southern Counties Radio and the Brighton Argus. <<< back |
